Ka Ipu O Ka ʻIke

This relational database serves as a repository of policy and advocacy resources.

Welcome to Ka Ipu O Ka ʻIke, a centralized online repository of Native Hawaiian policy-related reports, data, and research, that will serve as a resource to advance policy for Native Hawaiians.

Sponsored by CNHA and Kaiser Permanente, this repository is meant to be comprehensive, simple, and functional where information will be contained in a relational database intended to make it easier for users to sort and find information on Native Hawaiians.

More than 50 online policy-related reports have already been identified to include in the repository. To submit additional Native Hawaiian reports/data for the repository, email cnhapolicycenter@hawaiiancouncil.org

Final Report of the HCR85 Task Force on Prison Reform
HCR85 Task Force (2018)

Native Hawaiians have historically been disproportionately impacted by Hawaiʻi’s criminal justice system and OHA continues to be at the forefront, advocating for policies to reduce these harmful psychological, social, cultural, and economic impacts on paʻahao, their ʻohana, and the greater Hawaiian community.
